Seattle Metro Electrifying Support
The multinational energy industry consultants, Lazard Ltd., report that the cheapest way to replace aging power plants is with solar and wind farms. Currently, it is cheaper to shut down a brand new coal powered plant and replace it with a solar farm. Soon all electricity generation will be fossil fuel free.

If we electrifying everything in our lives, we will also become fossil fuel free.

Saul Griffith, of Rewiring America, has suggested that a minimum strategy is to never buy anything that burns fossil fuels. That way, over the next 10 to 50 years, all fossil fuel burning will stop. Stopping burning fossil fuels will stop climate change -- we will end up with whatever climate we got to when we stopped.

As you start replacing fossil-fuel burning equipment, you may have questions like:

  • For an electric car, how much battery do I need?
  • What is it like charging an electric car?
  • What kind of heat pump do I need?
  • How much will it cost?

Get your questions answered.
